Molly, Max, and lily are all in separate pens next to each other.

I am not going to attempt to put Molly and Lily together again and am not going to risk Lily getting bitten again.

I have a feeling Molly is very happy being the queen off her domain.

Max was to be neutered next month but is not even 2 and 1/2 months old yet and my vet, for some reason, didn't realize how young he is. So that is put on hold for a while.

They are all happy and growing and talk back and forth and for now this is good enough.

It was suggested we adopt another sow to try to bond with Lily but I am out of room and cannot take care of one more. Three is my limit and I was only doing one until Eli died.

Husband is quite attached also so I have help but beign 70, I am not up to more.

Crikey, the dynamics can be difficult for sure. I think people can under estimate not just the time but the physical effort in cleaning out piggy houses, and the more you have the more cleaning it takes. It's a 2-3hr cycle for me these days - that disinfecting, drying etc.

I think it's always best to keep what you can manage.

As @Mother Hubbard says above, piggy dynamics can be difficult. We always have a number we are strict to stick too despite space allowing a lot more. Thanks for the update on your gang

Ty and w thad not planned don three but since we got Lily we totally love and she is developing quite a personality

You are wise to stick to three. I only have 3 guinea pigs. Amos is kept in his own run as he is a bossy character. I adopted Granville and Marlow to keep him company in a separate run nearby. Amos used to have an older boar living next door who he used to love as company but not to be in the same run with. When Rupert died Amos showed signs of missing him. So I quickly adopted Granville and Marlow and Amos immediately perked up again. As cleaning of their runs can be quite time consuming. I trick my mind into thinking the cleaning is "exercise" so I am physically doing myself good as well cleaning the guinea pigs out. It sounds as though young Lily has recovered well. Hope all goes well with Max.

Pnwgranny, age wise I'm not far off your age. We call it the golden years.lol
My hubby is 7 years younger than me so he gets the bending jobs, there's no way I can catch them for lap time so that's another of his jobs.

TY and I am so enjoying my piggies and yes their three pens are a bit of a challenge first thing in the morning and I am so enjoying watching them grow.

TY and my hubby bends over better than I do so he gets to do the bending also.

Thanks for the update. Sounds like you have more than enough to keep you busy with 3 separate pens.
