NocturnalRapport

Today we bought two baby girls. They're only about 8 weeks old, so tiny, fluffy and timid.

We have two adult boys inside so the baby girls are being kept in a hutch outside and I know how ridiculous this sounds ... but I feel so guilty!

Will they be ok out there all night? I know they're tougher than they look but we had the boys out for carpet time earlier and they were darting about having a great time and I kept thinking about the poor babies outside 8...

We have left them alone all day to settle in, we're hoping to hold them tomorow but I'd like to ask a few questions ...

When should we introduce "carpet time"?
When are they ok to go in the pen (constant access to fresh grass from the garden)?
Can we cuddle them tomorow? :red

it is usually advised they have a few days to settle and then handle them.
i would put them in a run/pen when you start handling them
one little cuddle tomorrow shouldnt hurt, just keep the enviroment as stress free as possible.
keeping them in a hutch is fine providing you make sure they have everything to keep warm,i don't have outdoor piggies so i will let other members advise xxxxx

The only thing I can add is that carpet time isn't as "good" for outdoor piggies. Particularly in winter you can't be bringing them back and forth in and out the house, the temperature changes aren't good for them.
If the girls are big enough to not escape through the bars/wire/under the edges of the pen, you should be able to let him in the run after a few days of handling, when they'd be a bit braver.
