"My guinea-pig had babies this evening and my children became extremely over excited, I've separated them from dad but I only have been unorganized as usual and not yet sorted out a hutch, they are in an indoor cage but I don't really have anywhere to keep this away from the children and my youngest has already 'loved' my sons hamster too much and he went to hammy heaven so obviously I don't want the same for these babies. Does anyone have a hutch at all that they can spare? Then I can put them out with the other animals which is safely secured from the children. I'm quite handy so even a fixer upper would be welcomed. I can collect from anywhere pretty much any time."

I emailed them giving them some basic info on piggie babies (boys needing to be separated at 3 weeks, food, sexing them, etc) and said if she needed help to email me and I can point her in the direction of a rescue or I can take them off her hands.

Possibly a moment of madness, as I would need to get another hutch or build one :)) but the post worried me so much - especially the bit about her youngest 'loving' the hamster too much! pow-powmalletheadmalletheadmallethead

I hope poor old William didn't see your email to her! Think he'd have a fit about more babies :))

He does love them lots - even if Alan tried to hump him silly :))

The snuggles he gives them is just ridiculous and he whinges when we take him out the hutch and not them! He tries to get back to them as quick as possible!
