I found a spur on Oskars paw, and that's the first time i've ever dealt with a spur before. I'm a bit nervous about cutting it off, so here are my questions/concerns:
-If it starts to bleed, what do i do to stop it?
-If i dont clip close enough, will it grow back?
-Will it hurt the guinea pig if a cut it?

Please answer my questions. :-)

We have never cut Cookies spur it has never grown and appears to cause her no discomfort. If in doubt I would let a vet do it.

I've always let my vet cut any bad spurs, but most stay thankfully small enough that they don't cause any discomfort to the piggies.

You can cut it yourself. Be careful not to cut too close to live skin. ;)
