Please can someone clarify some information I've just read on another forum about Kale and Parsley where the advice is to give both in small amounts only once or twice a week, as although it has Vit C it can form stones which are painful to pass and would need veterinary intervention?

This has really confused me as I give mine kale almost every day and parsley probably just as much.

Any clarification would be grately appreciated by myself and definitely by my guineas, who are quietly munching on their kale :{

It depends on the whole of the diet they're gettiing; normally it's advised to give it only in small quantities.

If you are worried about a balanced diet, have a look at a sticky thread at the top of the food section about the phosphor:calcium ratio worked out by CCC4 on the recommendations on the medical website guinealynx.

It's worth working your way through; as with this ratio right, you are more likely not to run into bladder stone/cystitis trouble, which is unfortunately quite frequent in guinea pigs, because of their naturally high alcaline urine.
It is no complete safeguard, though!

Having lost one of my guinea pigs after a long battle with two bladder stone operations, I can recommend it most warmly. But please don't panic!
