hi, i was just wondering if anyone has any tips on how to keep my four boys a little bit warmer this winter?

the room can get quite chilly, even with heating on it doesn’t seem to last long. i have the boys kept in pairs in large pens and are all under 1 year, this is their first winter! they have hides and plenty of fleece blankets to keep them cosy but i can’t help but be paranoid that they are cold. their ears and feet seem warm but it’s during the night when it’s at the coldest that i can’t help but feel like this. they burrow and snuggle together sometimes.

what else can i do to ensure they’re warm enough on these extra cold nights? right now it’s -5 outside and you can feel a bit of a chill in the room. i can’t buy them the heat up snuggle mats until next month, unfortunately.
thank you guys in advance

I have the same worry over my pigs. I have covered half their cage with a fleece blanket to stop any drafts in that area. Plenty of hay and cardboard boxes stuffed with hay too. As for your username, @BossHogg should be able to change the spelling x

Like suggested above, I have also built little cardboard houses for the pigwigs - extra fleece and hay for them to get cozy in. I also bought some cheap fluffy hot water bottles, when I sit with them in the evenings I cuddle mine and have a few placed in the pigs' cage as well. They love them!
