I had two guinea pigs named Kali and Sylvester. They always got along and often I would find them kissing each other. The affection they showed for each other is different from other guinea pigs I’ve had. Sadly Sylvester died in February and Kali soon followed in March. I now have a guinea pig named Jack and Baby Shark who are both males.

Welcome.

I agree that piggies are very affectionate. Currently, I slave over Finn and Lara who are very affectionate. They always know I am coming with food and hay for them so they pay their best attention to me. They let me pet them for a long time, which is very special. They live in separate cages for obvious reason. I am not a breeder so I would create more trouble than good if I allow my piggies to have babies.

Mine 'kiss' me all the time, but I seldom see them 'kiss' each other unless someone has been away for a prolonged period of time (i.e. at the vet for an operation that requires a longer stay than an hour or so.) In that case, I have seen them do the 'I want you in my group' ear grooming over again and sometimes lick each other's faces.

My two girls, Cherub and Seraphina, (though kinda weird) kiss each other too. But usually after they fight. lol
Seraphina seems to be always sorry for instigating a fight and tries to atone for it! XD
