Kitchen Roll!

This morning I was giving Sorrel, Rosemary and Hazel their new years breakfast of a little carrot and pepper and celery and I had never seen them so excited. They were climbing on top of the little hatch to reach it! When I went in to pick up their food bowl Hazel snatched the kitchen roll I was taking it over in and nibbled at it. She only ate a little but I was wondering if I tiny bit of kitchen roll should harm her. She was eating everything else afterwards!

No, it won't harm her - it's fibre and will be digested without problemes. Most guinea pigs will eat things like newspaper, kitchen rolls etc. if they can get at them.
 
Thank you. I was just a little confused because how ever much they love their food, I have never seen them quite so excited!:)
 
It's a new thing for them! My blind Mischief had once a wonderful Christmas rustling with some soft wrapping paper (and eating a bit of it) for ages!
