Poor pig. It is cute and all.
I hope you aren't going to keep that on her for too long, especially in this heat?

I think that Kitty is beautiful enough without the dress :) It is not advisable to dress up piggies. They often struggle against it, and can hurt themselves in the process. I imagine that it can be quite warm for them too - even in an a/c room. I'm certain that you have the best intentions, but I think that Kitty will be happiest without it :) x

It was literally on her for 4 min. She actually didn't seem to mind, it wasn't a struggle to put it on, it goes on around her and velcros on the underside.

I looked at little piggie costumes before  They are just so cute! I was soo tempted too buy one, but I thought it wouldn't be worth the money! Because obviously they can only wear them for a couple of minutes!

She looks adorable by the way!

Aww bless, she does look cute and I'll admit I considered getting the guineasaurous Rex costume. Never did though.

I agree with the majority of the above, but i'm not into dressing any kind of animal up. Coats for dogs and horses when they need them (frail, elderly, athritic etc) but for fun no.

She probably looked like she didn't mind because she was shocked in those 4 minutes, dressing up piggies is advised against.
She wasn't in shock or scared she ate a piece of pepper before I took the pic
(With the dress on) unless they still eat when in shock or scared, which I doubt, as I have never seen ANY animal eat or drink at the hospital or clinic when in shock or scared when I worked as a veterinary technician.

I would never do anything to hurt or purposely scare my pigs and if she had fought me or seemed extremely upset I would have stopped putting it on her.

She is a very docile pig. The dress was only bought to take a picture in! And it was 2$ so if she never has it on again it is no loss to me.
If you have never put clothes on your pig how can you tell me it scares or puts them into shock? Not trying to be sassy just saying you can't say something is true if you've never done it.

I want that shirt irl. I love that type of pattern.

She looks really cute. I've thought, when I was new to guinea pigs, of putting mine in outfits too but never went ahead with it after all the advice against it. I only wanted a picture too.

Beautiful girl, with and without the outfit.

i find they like to wear the dress on thier head like a portable cave

I think it's great people are looking out for the welfare of the pig and all, but it's obvious that the owner isn't keeping the pig in the outfit and just had it on for a few quick pictures, which I see nothing wrong with. I think she looks adorable :)
Thank you Kristina! I'm not into dressing up my pigs on a daily basis, it was for a picture that's it. She didn't mind, it didn't get put over her head, which I am sure WOULD have stressed her out, it wrapped around her like a blanket and like I said 5 times if she HAD seemed stressed I would have ceased putting it on her. She ate her treats I took a couple pictures and off it came and it hasn't been on her since and probably won't be again.

I absolutely hate animals being dressed up, they are far cuter without clothing which is only put on them for human gratification.
Well I am pretty sure my 5# Maltese is very happy that I put her coat and or sweater on her when it's -30F and she has to go outside to go potty or after she gets a hair cut and is shaking in the house because she is cold. I put her sweater on and shaking stops. So I don't think a blanket statement like that fits.

But I agree that some owners go over board and treat them like human babies.

You shouldn't have to explain yourself. It was a little bit of fun and was only for a picture.
I think she looks adorable!
