My dad says the back garden lawn needs feeding cos there's too much clover and that's a sign of bad nutrient levels
He says he'll use a lawn feed, but not a weedkiller, like miracle grow. He thinks that'd be fine for the guinea pigs because it'd just sink into the ground. Though I said we'd have to wait at least a little while in case it harms them. I remember having plant feed before and the instructions said keep away from pets, I used it on plants around my cat, but he wouldn't be eating them . . . much!
Does anyone know if it's ok and how long before I could let them out on the grass afterwards? Would it help if I washed the grass after, or would that wash away all the feed?
I said I'd just save up all the rabbit and guinea pig poo in a bucket, add some water so it kinda dissolves and pour it over the grass to feed it, so he might let me do that instead! It doesn't usually get fertilised by their poo because the dogs eat it rolleyes
