Hi all

Can you let me know if it is best to leave their pelleted food in the cage all the time or do you give it to them at set times. I have been leaving it with them all the time. I dont know if it is the right thing to do.

Hiya,

I don't use pellets *mine don't select feed so I let them be* but I leave dried mix around all the time for them. It helps them to forage, the same applies with the hay a constant supply so they can take what they need when they need it.

I make sure there are pellets available all the time. They only seem to eat what they want, and not just pig out.

I leave the pellets in all the time for Gilbert he just picks at hem when he feels like it.

Hi again Terry-anne,

Dry mix, fresh water, dried grass and quality hay should be available at all times.Piggies are grazers so they need to be able to nibble most of the time.I expect you knows this anyway, but they also need a mixed variety of veggies daily.

Hi all

They are fed a mixture of fresh vegetables every day ie spring greens, cucumber, melon, celery, sweetcorn. Lots of other stuff too. I am always looking for varieties for them they are better looked after than me. They are also given hay at all times and fresh water.

I have been leaving them with loads of hay, and a mix in the day time, and then in the evening they have a mix of veggies (chopped up) and P@h pellets through the night

I leave my pigs in the run in daytime and give them veggies(and obv they eat the grass) sometimes I put in the muesli but rarely.
then in the nights i give them more hay muesli with more veggies mixed in
obv water available at all times
