I have no money as it is and this is about my 6th vet visit in about a month and all guinea pigs mallethead

I took him last week about his bald patch as I thought mange but the vet wasn't convinced and now it looks like he is becoming more bald on his back so hes back on Saturday and I want him treated for mites.

Its not fungal

Its not lice

He hasn't got any scabs or anything ... yet ... and I dont want to keep going back and from the vets

I basically wasted 14 pounds last week when I took him and he didnt get treated and I'm not wasting my money again this time around.

Other than that he is fine and eating well etc.. I just want him treated before it gets worse..

Llewelyn had a persistent bald patch on his throat earlier this year - no scabs, no signs of what it was.

A combination of fungal baths and a full course of mite treatment finally cleared it.

I would recommend trying a course of ivermectin in combination with antifungal treatments like neem oil.

That yes, I am def goin to give him a course of ivermectin treatment - thats the whole reason why I am going to the vets on saturday. I just wish I'd done it last week as I'm struggling financially at the moment as it is.

I would also look into a antifungal treatment, thank you both.
