i know that there cant have iceburg

is any other sort of its only iceburg there cant have as i wont to try them with some Lettuce

Hi Hannah, have you tried curly parsley, mine have always loved it,and you could grow some in a pot in the spring. :)

There are 2 types of parsely, flat leaf and curly.
Curly is much thicker - you can get it in the supermarket in packets or growing in pots :)

Try buying bags of salad without iceberg lettuce in them. My piggies love most of them. Misty loves Bistro Salad because it has beetroot in it :)

Romain lettuce is fine and little gem hearts always goes down well here. I buy bags of kale they love that too. Parsely is always the first thing they eat if thats on the menu.

why can they not have "ice berg"? they have only had it a few times, maybe three times in month

Iceberg has absolutely NO nutritional value to it :)

As Laura likes to say it is basically crunchy water and I think that is a good analogy for it.

Mine love a variety of lettuces - in fact they are having some tomorrow (left some lettuce from today - no iceberg in the packet).

So they can have the lettuce that you can buy in the bags at asda/tesco?

yes, as long as it contains no iceberg - or you take it out :)

Thanks! I have some in the fridge. Will take it out for a while so its not to cold for their tummy! :)

Mine love lettuce. I usually buy bags of the reduced stuff (on saturday night we got a bag that went down in price by £1). It's usually because it's going out of date very soon, but I can keep it for about 3-4 days after the date and it's fine! (I'd eat it myself, so they should be fine with it)

I went in to Tesco one night and got 4 bags for 1p each!

haha 1p? They might aswell just give them to you ::) Were they out of date by far? Usually it's like 1 or 2 days and the contents looks fine but they can't sell it after that I think?

They weren't out of date at all - they were just being sold on the evening of their "sell by" date but still 3 days to go for the "best before". Not had a bargain like that since, mind you!
