I saw something on another thread about buying Xeno spot on or invermicin. Do you treat your piggies as a preventative measure or is it just recommended to have them on standby, or is it different depending on whether they're indoor or outdoor piggies? I'm pretty anti-chemical but I did have a bad experience with a cat flea outbreak a few years ago, which I would not like to repeat, so if preventative treatment is recommended I'm in! Thanks

Generally preventative treatment isn't necessary. Just treat if they have symptoms. If you see itching, hair loss or sores its best to get a vet diagnosis before using over the counter treatments.
