Today has been horrible, this morning I discovered moving lice on little ruby. None of the piggies has ever had this before. sexy had mites once but you couldnt see them. I mananged to get two out to pop into a sealable bag to show the vet (I felt stupid but he was grateful as he new what they were then.) So due to the girls having floor time and trying to house them together they all had to be done and so did the boys. So my mom and I had to take 3 boars in a big box and 3 sows in another box. The sows were fine at first, a little scared. Then they began to have fights in the waiting area of the vets. I got really deep cuts from were they bit me when I was separating them (Thank god they bit me instead of each other) when we got in there I had to hold each pig for the vet and try to stop the girls fighting, while trying to stop my hands bleeding! The boys were as good as gold, little romeo was humping his brothers but they are to old and laid back to care. So all treated now, just got to go back in 10 days.
My husband and I had a big fight about money as were getting a skinny on saturday but the jabs only come up to £43 as vet gave us a discount.
Were obviously going to be keeping the skinny away from the others and will be washing our hands and changing clothes before handling him.
