Just got home from school and was brushing my guinea pigs and found white lice crawling in their fur! What should I do? I can go to pets at home now if necessary and can they be passed on to humans? Thanks x

They can't be passed on to humans so don't worry about that :) And you can get various shampoos that treat lice, the most gentle on the pigs skin would be GorgeousGuineas Lice 'n' easy, but you can also use the Johnsons parasite shampoo and that works too :)

Thank you do much for your help, I went to pets at home and got a spot on treatment for them both!

Sorry but I don't think spot on (or any form of Ivermectin) works on lice, you need a shampoo. I would use Lyclear creme rinse, available from the pharmacy, but patch test behind the ear for 48 hours first. They may need a second bath a week later.
