New Born Pup
I have 2 boars, both roughly 5-6 months old. They're bonded for the most part, but sometimes I'll find them having a quick chase around the cage (usually when one of their food bins are empty, adding more hay quickly stops them). The dominant one is Pineapple, the submissive is Coconut.
I just now turned and saw Coconut licking at his own genital, it was really distended. I thought maybe he was eating his cecal matter but he was definitely licking/biting at himself. I quickly picked him up and flipped him over but he didn't appear swollen or red, there was nothing stuck in there or anything. Just a little wet. Again I am unsure if this was biting or licking, but it looks like it was, er, in his mouth quite the way.
I can't seem to find any forums exactly about this. Is this normal? Do teenage piggies just do that? I've had boars all my life but I've never seen them do that (but also bear in mind this is my first time having two living together... Unsure if that's a factor or not).
