As promised, video's of her recovery over the last 5 weeks :)

This was a few days ago, she's picking her leg up, but not got the strength in it to put her foot in the right place. At this point though, she can bare weight at a stand still and put it under her when resting.

 
At this point, it's a waiting game whilst she gathers strength in her back end and can maintain a proper stance for more than a few mins. She gets water baths every few days to help improve her mobility

Was funny in the first video when a ginger bum got in the way:)) So wonderful to see how well she is doing.

Liquorice has rediscovered the love of running about and has appeared to have beaten that cold :))
 
Who would have thought, that after all she's been through, she still has the strength and fight to keep going. It's been a long battle, one with about as much twists and turns in it as a rollercoaster, and many a time, I've though, this is it.
But, I don't know where her energy is coming from, or where, but I really admire her spirit, the lovely gorgeous Liquorice xoxo

First day following me around!

She's not done this in over a 6 weeks, but several times tonight, she's got off her pet bed and ran to the door waiting for me to come back :))



This is a big deal for me, as I'm finally seeing the old Liquorice coming back, she always used to love following me, and until today, she's been too uncomfortable to do it.
Here, the little monkey keeps trying to eat the carpet.... another old habit, one though I don't want her to have lol! mallethead :))

She looks like she is back to herself! You would never have imagined she was as poorly as he has been.
 
I am so pleased for you! You really have had such a hard time of late. Really pleased she is on the mend, such a x) beautiful girl and a real fighter x
 
She's sat on my lap making happy piggy sounds :)... i found myself handling her less when she clearly showed she didn't find it comfortable :( I also worry about her weight loss, but know a lot of it is due to loss of muscle, which will hopefully correct itself now she's moving about again.
She's out every night atm, and i'm encouraging her to move around rather than stay in one place, she's not wobbly at all when she's stood or walking, so I know she's get enough nutrients at this time, and when she's ready she'll up her intake. She adores feeding time, all her veg, her eye, although still gets gunky, has remained infection free, the other piggies help to keep it clean, I won't stop them, as clearly every little helps.
She's got a good bond going with BonBon, they spend a lot of time together in the cage, and sleep in the sleeping quarters together. :)
