Have any of you successfully litter boxed trained your piggies? I haven't been able to get coroplast for the bottom of my cube cage so right now they have a layer of garbage bags (to protect the carpet) a blanket folded up then towels on top of that. I have some corner litter boxes but they seem to just ignore them. Any ideas?

You could try putting treats near the boxes i suppose. I've never heard of actual training, i think it seems to depend on the piggies some will do it one area and other just do it where they're sitting/sleeping ::)

I got some potty training litter, I put a little in the tray and he seems to pooh in it ....saying that though he pee's at side of it so I just put thinker layer of paper where he pee's. I'm sure he will learn through time to pee where he poohs O0

My pigs have a litter tray full of hay with a layer of newspaper underneath the hay..the idea is that they eat the hay and poop in there too :P i have to clean it out pretty regularly though. (they mostly eat the hay out of the hayrack though not off the floor)

Mine are very good. And they hardly ever have accidents on me or others - they tell us when they want to go. If we don't listen it's our fault!

Mine are good too. I put face flannels down where they like to lay, under things mainly around the room and they just poop and pee on them then I pick them up when they go home and put them in the wash ( a seperate piggy towel wash!) then I have some carpet wipes that I just rub over the area where the towel was to keep it "sweet" and it will then dry overnight ready for next evening!

To solve your correx problem my dad has made a base out of kitchen benchtop cutoffs he got for free. It makes the c&c a little bit less flexible but orked great so far. I also was going to buy some waxed tablecloths to use but instead found that thick table protector stuff in boyes. Would cost about £10 to cover a 4x2.
