Any idea where I can buy little shelters to go inside runs for the summer? Or anyone have any pics/designs to make them?

I mean wooden shelters, more substantial than pigloos

I use a hanging basket liner asda or tesco do them for about 75p - £1 (Rigid Paper Hanging Basket Liner)
I cut and arch out of them and turn them up side down

Oh sorry was typing that when you had already put about wooden ones.

What about the one for fluff in the photo gallery? Sorry I can't remember who posted it. I also saw one on the sph supplies website (someone correct me if I'm wrong with the name!)

yeah i got some of them what you bend my max likes to sit on top of of it not under it

Kathryn you can easily make some with 1/2" plywood; just cut it to the size you want & nail together :)

dont forget to put some pet friendly varnish on it though, I didnt do that for my indoor stuff I made from plywood and it looks horrible now due to weestains.
Thinking how they would look like with the addition of being outdoors :o -
no, if you do make one yourself, make sure that your time isnt wasted, and put a layer of varnish on.

I have a small wooden house in each of my runs (just see it on the left hand side of the picture)- I got mine from my local pet shop and it came flat packed and took 10 minutes to assemble. Not been able to find one online though - is this the sort of thing you are after? If so, I will pop in my pet shop and try and find the name of the manufacturer to see if it can be tracked down on the internet?

Mine is weatherproof - got a proper felt roof and everything - and raised slightly off the ground, so whilst I wouldn't put them out and leave them unattended for hours, it is nice to know that if a brief summer shower started, I wouldn't have to panic to get them back in again. Also, when they want to have a lie down for a bit they have somewhere to go off of the grass. To be fair, you could probably make something easy enough but DIY is not my forte..... ;)

That's exactly what I'm after Sabrina, as you say if there's a shower and I've popped to school then I want somewhere for them to get some proper shelter, not just a pigloo

i like the ebay one better than the zoo plus one, because it looks more sturdier and it has a bottom to it.

yes i have seen one like that in a local pet shop cheaper too.
i use an animal carrier in the run at the moment

:o :o Think I might get the hammer and nails out ;D

Thats the one I have.... Did not pay that much for it though! I'll have a look when I am up the pet shop at the weekend.

Zooplus sell one exactly the same to ebay here - http://www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/rodents/cages/pens_fencing/33223
Price isn't much nicer though!

I think you'd be better making your own, can be to the size you want and just how you want it then, and a lot cheaper ;) :)

The Natura one is also available at a pet shop near me but it is nearer £25 in price.
