Hi all i am after a bit of adivce please, i am the proud owner of 7 little piggies 2 pairs of boys and a group of 3, 1 boy and 2 girls.
I have had the little group now for about 8 months and this is the first summer with them. Since i had them they have always lived inside in an indoor cage but i have decided that it is time they went out into the big wide world, i have just brought them a new cage and am waiting for it to arrive in the next week or so, my question is how do i get them use to living out side do i just out them out with some extra bedding and they will be ok or shall i put them out in the day and bring them back in at night to begin with as i dont want them to get cold but i though being warmer at night now they would be ok.

Hi, i moved my indoor boys out a few weeks ago so all of mine are out now.. made sure it was a nice day, and they love it! Ive had no problems, despite all my worries before i made the move.
Just make sure you have a cover for the hutch, as two of mine didnt, and it poured soaking my poor bunnies, and they were standing in puddles! Luckily it wasnt the piggies x
Its best to keep them out, rather than move them back indoors..
I had a lot of noise for a couple of days, as they squeeked to eack other, but no problems other than that
good luck sure they will be fine x

i have got some plastic to cover the hutch over when the rain comes, and at night time, their cage is next to the house and so they are quite protected from the weather.
I hope they enjoy the world out side mommy and baby were living out side in a terrible cage when i rescued them and poor daddy was kept in a coal house in a indoor cage with no light.
My other GP i have decided to kept indoors as both of them have brain damaged and i dont think they would cope with the change in circumstances so they will be staying indoors with trips out in the run when the sun shines
