Lolas surviving baby has died

just checked on lola as i havent seen her today and discovered little bart has passed away she had buried him but i don't understand he was fine running around after mum all the time a liveley little boy i was topping him up with milk as his birth weight was so low could mum have done this he looked so healthy xx

could there have been a problem in pregnancy as she started loseing weight rapidly before she had them. plus when i took her to the vets the vet really squeezed her but surely a vet would no what they were doing wouldnt they xx

I am so sorry for your loss. It is VERY touch and go for babies with such a low birth weight to make it. You and Lola were doing your best, but you were up against it! All you could to is give him a change to live - sadly, it was not to be! Don't blame anybody - except the person who has the responsibility for causing these pregnancies to happen in the first place!

Please give Lola lots of cuddles and treats. She will be upset by the loss as well and can do with some pampering now.

Sorry to hear you have lost your last surviving pup
I know just how you feel,our westie had pups a couple of years ago.
She gave birth to one healthy pup and four still born,i was heart broken,then a week later she lost her surviving pup
It was worst watching our westie Bluebell crying for her baby and her being so sad.
It took her a couple of weeks to recover with the aid of lots of teddys and lots of lovex)x)
Hope you will be able to move forward in time and hope mum is ok,sue,x

Oh no thats awful, as others have said if the remaining baby had a low birth weight then it was probably just that.
