long haired guinea pig

hi can anyone tell me please where i can get long haried guineas from just everywhere i go all ican find is short haired i live in coventry in the uk thanks

Hi, why do you want a long haired specifically?

there are lots of guineas in rescue centres be it short haired or long haired.. have you tried them?

ive had three guinea pigs what were short haried and now i would just like a long haired but cant seem to get one

Log haired guinea pigs do come into rescue centres so it is worth chekcing with them. Everyone has personal preferences and if you feel ready for the extra grooming etc involved in te care of a long hair good luck in finding one I know several of the rescue in norwich have semi long and long haired guineas looking for homes. ;D

Out of my 7 piggies, 6 are long-haired. I have kept long-haired piggies for years. But you do have to be very careful with them and not let their hair grow long, especially around their rear ends! Please do bear this in mind when adopting one!
I regularly give my piggies a hair cut and basically my long-haired piggies turn out to be rough haired and I prefer to keep them like that.

Long-haired do take extra commitment and care but I have found that their temperaments, very docile and easy to handle, outweighs the grooming and haircutting involved.
