I separated my male from my females (they preg) and separated the females from each other... i sad cos i know they will miss one another... any tips on what i can do to keep them happy?
I had to separate my baby boars from baby sows a few weeks ago, to stop the boys from getting the girls pregnant. There is no doubt they do miss each other! I made sure that the hutches were quite close still, so they could wheek at each other. Extra cuddles worked, and I put two runs next to each other, so they could spend time in the garden talking and sniffing, but couldn't get pregnant. Momma pig loves this most of all and comes over to kiss all her babies and checks the boys are behaving themselves! :smitten: Mind you, I only separated the boys from the girls - am I right in thinking you've separated the girls further? I had a pregnant sow with one of her daughters from a previous litter and they got on really well - but I do know this doesn't work for all.
