For the first time in 2 years (maybe?) my pigs had some outside time!
As most of you might remember from previous posts I don’t feel safe putting my piggies out in my garden due to the dangers (snakes etc) and also I have a lot of unsafe weeds and trees dropping leaves that could be a problem for them.
Well today was a beautiful sunny winters day, the sun had a lovely warmth and it just felt good! The grass is currently long (with quite a bit of clover though) and I found a safe spot to put the run on.
I only had each herd out for 15 minutes each while I speedily cleaned their cages out.
But they thoroughly enjoyed it and I hope to be able to do it again before snake season is here. (Today was also a snake risk. But a low risk, and I looked in the run every 2 mins lol).
Fergus the dog helped me keep an eye on them too.
And the chickens also trolled around to be nosey and keep watch lol.
I feel so guilty that they can’t have regular time outside. But I do pick them grass most days.
