So I'm due to go on holiday in September for 18 days and for reasons beyond my control (sadly The Guinea Collected are closing their doors) I no longer have anywhere to board my piggies.

I have 7 piggies in three separate groups and 3 have health issues requiring daily meds. Also, 2 of them are skinny pigs.

Does anyone have experience of any
other indoor boarding services in the Manchester area.

I don't know anywhere in Manchester, but I maybe able to help out,if needed.
Thanks for your kind offer Eileen. ❤️ I didn't realize how little availability there is for small animal boarding. We have always been lucky to have Paul to look after them but he has decided to close the business.

I will find some time next week to think about the logistics, if I can't find anyone local. As I may have to adjust flights if I need to travel to drop off the piggies. I just need to get through a big deadline at work this week and then I'll have some thinking space. xx

I am sure you have already thought about this, but have you asked at the local vet?
We have a regular pet sitter, but on one occasion when she couldn't make it, the local vet nurse agreed to come by twice a day and look after them for us.

The vet we go to used to provide a small animal boarding service but sadly they no longer do.

Ashleigh vets board guineas.

They were a godsend when a piggy had a chronic condition and needed careful looking after and medication

I will double check but i don't think that they offer a boarding services any longer. :(

Oh, I didn't know. They used to use the cat facilities.

I was there this afternoon, I could have checked.
They definitely closed the cat boarding facilities, i remember a post on their Facebook page.

Just to let everyone know that I managed to get my piggies booked into Pampered Piggies which is quite local. I have spoken to the owner and she seems very piggy savvy. Although she may have been fed up of my many questions.

I want to thank you all for your suggestions, it was really appreciated.

A special thank you to @eileen for your amazingly kind and generous offer to care for my piggies.❤️ If only you lived a little closer, have you ever considered a move to Manchester. 😃😃

After the loss of Georgie and Hazel while I was away last year, I must admit I am a little nervous about leaving them. Especially somewhere new. 🥺

I am so happy you found a solution, and please remember that you deserve this break and the piggies will be fine.
