my lou lou will not come out of her hidey hole this morning for her breakfast, she is usually waiting and wheeking in anticipation. She has eaten from my lap but is reaching for her food with her head only as if reluctant to move her body. I have placed her back in the cage and she seems very restless and unable to position herself comfortably. She is slightly dragging her bum around and her breathing seems a bit laboured also lying from side to side and appears most depressed. I have a day off today and am thinking about taking her to see vet Fiona who helped my little Stumpy with a bladder stone last week. What do you think, should I do this or wait a while to see if she improves through the day..... although I don't want to take any chances but the fact she has eaten a little makes me think I may be woryring too much and /or over reacting. I would really appreciate your thought s on this . Esstina xx

I'm too inexperienced to comment, sorry, but I hope she's okay x

Please go and see the vet straight away. Very worrying that she's dragging herself and even more so that her breathing is laboured. May be a chest infection.

Pigs go downhill very quickly so for her to be not herself, presenting these behaviours def something going on.

Pigs are prey animals and even when in tremendous pain will hide it well.

To me personally from what you have said, she sounds def ill.
