Nice and long stranded, best for molars i thinkI recently purchased some Timothy hay from Timothyhay.co.uk and it turned up today and is lovely and green. The girlies seem to be enjoying it.I haven’t ordered any for about a year and my last lot wasn’t as green as this.View attachment 93411
I had the same issue with natures own sweet green hay, I’m not sure what it was, maybe mud.Luckily I saw it before I put the hay in the cage.Hay is a sore subject with me, I bought hay this morning for my piggies, & there is an enormous lump of plastic or tar in the middle. Lucky it was spotted before I gave the hay to my babies.
I received my next two bags from them this morning. The last bag was gorgeous - nearly as green as the grass. The piggies eat almost all of it - usually there is a bit left that they don't touch.
Doesn't it grow dry if you buy bulk?I just got two more bags as I didn’t want to run out, it really is a lovely batch this time![]()
I actually just took another deliver this week for two more bags. No it’s lasted fine. I was more worried about storing the unopened bag so that it didn’t get damp. The open bag is stored next to the piggies at room temperature and it’s been lovely. I have 9 piggies so one bag doesn’t last that long maybe three weeks (I use meadow hay also).Doesn't it grow dry if you buy bulk?
