Hi

New to the forum, and pretty new to keeping Guinea Pigs (had one when I was very young, but remember nothing about it really) as I got my girls 6 weeks ago

Have two, Kim and Aggy (in the hope they'd keep their house clean!), and have heard a number of noises out of them

I did a fair bit of reading before picking Guinea Pigs as pets, and know that teeth chattering means they aren't happy (they do this when one of them steals food out of the other ones mouth), they've made me more than aware of the noise they make when they want food (every time I open the fridge door!) but they make a kind of lower-pitched almost rumble sometimes, which usually accompanies popcorning

Is this a good noise? I assumed it was, because they make it in between popcorns, but thought I'd see what more experienced people think!

hi, thanks for that link!

I think it might be a purr though, as neither pig does the strutting thing....

Maybe a chuttering sorta noise?

My lot do this to themselves alot (especially Pippa who always seems to talk to herself rolleyes )
