they give the cat lexicon for poppy 5ml they said give her 1ml is not 0.1 on my syringe 1ml i don't understand there won't be enough for 1ml a for 5 days

Usually the syringes they give are 1ml syringes and only thin things. I think the highest dose I have been allowed to give is 0.15ml but I'm sure on some of the syringes I have it does show as 1.5. Only have two in at the moment and both showing as 0.1 etc so can't confirm this for definite. Does it say what size the syringe is?

Please contact the clinic as soon as it opens again. What is the weight of your guinea pig, what problem have you got loxicom for and what size syringe have you been given?

You should have enough loxicom to keep you until Monday? Cat strength metacam (of which loxicom is a brand name for) is 1/3 of the strength of dog metacam, so you have to give three times more. 1 ml of cat metacam is about 0.33 of dog metacam. Ideally you split the dose and give one half every 12 hours, as guinea pigs have a very fast metabolism. Most vets prefer to give dog metacam because you need to give less volume. The dosage you have been prescribed is not excessively high.

How much loxicom is in the bottle as you need to give half a syringe full twice daily? it should say on the label.
