Thank you!Hello and welcome to the forum! She is beautiful!
Thank you so much! She's stunning, welcome to the forum.
Thank you for all the information you provided! We are looking into a friend for little luci.. i saved her from a bad situation so now i just want her as happy as can be! Thank you!Hi and welcome!
We have got lots of information at the top of our various care sections, but you may find these here the most helpful for the start:

Companionship:
The greatest favour you can do your beautiful girl is to get a companion. Guinea pigs are group animals, they are not wired to live on their own and need company 24/7 round the clock for the 4-7 years they live on average. This is something that you with your school obligations and a social life simply cannot provide. With constant stimulation of a companion, guinea pigs are generally healthier, they certainly eat better and are much less picky and they also won't develop annoying attention seeking behaviours out of sheer boredom and a desperate desire for company. Whether you have one or two guinea pigs, you do not need much more extra space, and it doesn't cost much more to keep them, either!

Sadly, there is currently no recommended guinea pig rescue in your state, which would have been the safest place to get a friend for Luci.
Saving up for vet cost:
As you are a minor, it is VERY important that you and your parents make sure that you save up weekly in order to be able to afford vet cost of up to several hundred dollars in an emergency, which you will have to pay up front in the US.
Guinea pigs are small animals and they cannot wait for days until you can convince your parents that your pet is ill and scrape together the money. It is a very distressing experience for the family as a whole and a terrible strain on you all if the death of a beloved pet comes between you.

Please read these guides and also show them to your parents; they will hopefully help you all having a great time!
Hi
Hello everyone![]()
my name is miranda and i wanted to introduce you all to my lovely piggy Luci. She is the sweetest gal and is always giving kisses and cuddling. We are in the process of getting her everything she needs, for i am new to owning guinea pigs, and i just got her about a week ago. My dad and i built a cage for her, and it came out wonderfully. are there any suggestions on what i should get for her? Pretty much in need of everything. I have bedding, a water bottle, hay, greens... i need toys and such still. Anyways. Nice to meet you all!
Not Sure why it uploaded upside downHere is one picture of her cage. It is bigger than it looks and she just loves it.. her hiding hut looks like an actual housewe even made our own hay feeder.
Pictures can be funny like that every now and againN

Your girl is absolutely beautiful! I love her button eyes! Well done to you and your dad for building her such a fab house.
It's a bit unclear on the picture, how big is the cage? If you'll be getting her a friend, you might need a little extensionThank you very much!
We will be adding an extension onto the cage soon. Its rather large though, more than enough space for her.. I'll take better photos later today! It's a bit unclear on the picture, how big is the cage? If you'll be getting her a friend, you might need a little extension![]()
