Lump on neck and head tilt

Good luck to Chunk on Friday. We will be at Cat & Rabbit on Friday to see Simon for Prince's dental check up. Prince broke one of his bottom teeth in the middle of the night or this morning, but he is still eating and has the same weight. Hopefully he can last until his next dental and we won't have to move it forward.

My appointment is 9.20 so might see you 😊 my other piggie Reggie is forever breaking his front top teeth! He constantly chews the bars really hard, we try and ignore him as there is only so much food we can give him! The first time he did it, I almost had a meltdown but now I just check there are no splinters and leave it to grow. It’s usually grown back in a week. Fingers crossed for your boy 😊

Thank you. I won't be able to meet you. Our appointment is 3:30pm. We are coming from North Wales so our appointments are usually around that time, unless it's an emergency. Good luck again to Chunk. Hopefully he would be better soon.

So we definitely have more attitude this morning! He is maintaining 850g for the last three days (is rather he was gaining but better than nothing!) so far we have managed 6ml of emeraid mixed with baby food and 2ml of mushed pellets. He is now really fighting the syringe off, could he be full? He had a combination of the above last night around 11.30 and managed around 15ml. Should I keep trying for a bit more?

I gave up 😅 he was leaping over my hands, head butting me and running off! He definitely didn’t want any more this morning!

That is good news. We like piggies with attitude! It sounds like he's feeling much better. I take it he's eating for himself now?

That’s the annoying thing, I’ve not seen him eat anything but then again he could be nibbling at hay while I’m not around. I’ll clear it all out tonight and put a handful in and see if it’s gone by morning! He’s definitely got some of his sass back!

Simon will be there as well, so I know Kim would get him to have a look if she’s concerned and would like his thoughts. Is Chunk trying to eat but not managing or not even trying? x

He did have a nibble on some green pepper yesterday but not seen him actively try and eat hay at all yet. He has tried broccoli stalks but he only seems to be able to nibble with his front teeth but not chew with the back teeth x

What about if you cut into thin strips and feed into his mouth? xx

Tried that and same thing happens, he will nip it off at the front but the food just sits in his mouth and doesn’t chew with the back and eventually pushes/spits it out 😔 I’m pretty sure he ate a tiny amount of green pepper yesterday though.

Never rains but it pours! Reggie must be feeling left out, he has got a snuffly nose! So given him some of Chunks left over baytril in the hope that will clear it 🤞🏻

So a bit of an update and another question as didn’t want to clog the place up with another post.

Chunk is doing loads better, eating for himself and really fighting the syringe feeding! So Kim has said to try taking him off the syringe feeds and monitor his weight.

One thing I have noticed is he has very orange wee (doesn’t look like blood)? Is he not getting enough water?

What medication is he on?
