Hi just a quick question. Tonight I felt a pea sized lump under Dozy's chin. It's not attached to the skin so I don't think it is an abcess (seen loads of cat abscesses). It's causing no pain at the moment it's mobile - you can move it. It's only one side and jet doesn't have one. Apart from being a grumpy bump which he always has been he seems fine in himself.

I will take him to the vets but until I do- any ideas?

Kate

Hi, Defiantly a vets visit. It could be one of several things, but anything sinister needs ruling out. Hopefully it is a fatty lump and harmless

Cookie had a lump that was a tumour removed and she has been fine ever since, that was nearly a year ago. But a vets visit is so important. Let us know how he gets on.

I found a pea sized lump under one of my piggy's chins & it did turn out to be an abscess :( It could be a cyst or an abscess or something more sinister so a vet check is definitely required :) Good luck, let us know how you get on :)

Best of luck at the vets! Any lump needs to be seen and felt for a proper diagnosis, but a loose sitting lump is generally better news than a deep sitting one.
