Luna has done so well with her two babies ... and stepdad Tommy has been wonderful with them also.
Luna and Tommy have been great with both babies living as a family unit.

I have named the baby boar little Wilf and the baby sow little Pearl - here is a photo of them all last weekend before sadly tomorrow I will need to separate Wilf as he is 3 weeks old and 296g.

Wilf and Pearl are definitely gaining Luna’s markings now so are going to be himi’s - more photos to follow.

Well done Luna & Tommy. What beautiful piggies you’ve reared.
What are you going to do with Wilf?

I am feeling so so sad about separating Wilf 😰 thanks for asking. I know I have to do this but really struggling what to do as he is so young and obviously bonded as a family.

Wilf is a lovely confident boy ... Luna and stepdad Tommy have done so well in making him a well-grounded little boy.
I am hoping he can find a friend through boar dating as I want him to be happy.

What a lovely family! All the best for poor Wilf!

PS: We generally recommend to separate at 250g or 3 weeks, whichever comes earlier. This to prevent rare cases of well developed sons impregnating their mothers at 15-17 after birth when sows come into season again. The three week rule is not quite fail-proof, hence the weight qualifier.
