Luna being guarded by her friends after a vet trip!

Poor Luna got a nasty haypoke in her eye! It looked very nasty but she was straight to the emergency vets and a big piece of spiky hay taken out and her eye all cleaned and she has eyedrops and metacam and she is ok. Even better, she got a full health check, and is in fine fettle for her age!

But her friends are very worried, and wont stop guarding her, it's adorable...
Here she has Blod on one side and Clover on the other, and Piggle has her enormous combat buttocks with precision wee spray primed to stop anyone taking Luna away again!

And here's Piggle guarding Luna against aerial assaults. Lavender wants to help too, Piggle isnt entirely convinced...
Piggle: "What are your combat skills, Private Purple?"
Lavender: "I can dance on my hind legs like a chubby T-rex begging for treats?"
Piggle: "Erm..."
Lavender: "Maybe I can eat all the hay so it doesnt hurt Luna?"
Luna: "Get off my dinner you big lilac fatty, why are you all following me?"

You notice gallant Theo, who guards Luna constantly when everything is perfectly safe, isn't showing his little badger face when there may be a vet to fight off!
 
Aw Theo, come on it’s not you who’s going to the vets. Look after your lady Luna 😊
 
Its funny, Piggle pretends she doesnt like Luna much, Piggle makes a point of pretending not to like anypig much, but once they ended up sharing a food dish and I was watching in case Piggle stole all the food... and she didn't, she was actually sneakily giving bits of her own veg to Luna, shoving bits of red pepper over to her!

She has to keep up her image of no-nonsense, don’t-take-no-prisoners, in-it-for-myself look-out-for-top-dog, happy spinster.
 
They are such a close piggy family :)
Closer even that the original group with Jezzy floof, Luna is much easier to get along with than Jezzy and likes to snuggle up and lick faces and be groomed, and Lavender just lollops about following Piggle or Puggle or Clover trying to copy everything they do lol :)

She's fine, it looked quite bad but the local vet is only a mile away and really good with emergency appointments- she was there and back within an hour, and after 2 lots of eyedrops her eye looks much better already, a little ulcer but she's very good about having her eyedrops and also not rubbing her eye at all! We are on soft hay only for a while until she is better, she's got a follow-up appointment on Thursday. And a very healthy heart, lungs and gut sounds according to head vet Clare who hasnt met Luna before :)
 
Love that. Reminds me when my Galadriel came back from the vet and Tauriel storms over to check on her then clings to her. That happens after I individually weigh Galadriel or remove her to quick trim her nails.

Love seeing pigs happy with their friend/s.
 
Piggies are so good at caring for each other when needed.
Glad Luna’s Haypoke isn’t too bad.
Hopefully with eye drops it will heal quickly.
