I know some of you have made 2nd levels on your gp cages - I have a ferplast 100 - bad advice to buy it from pets at home, was assured it was big enough for 2 gp's. I therefore put my girlies in a large run in the morning and they are in this all day, either outside if warm, or in the living room on not so good days) Only at night do they go in the smaller cage.

Just wondered if anyone has been able to create a 2nd level in this same cage? is there enough room to do so? The plastic 'home' that comes with the cage I have turned this around so that there are two openings so both gp's have a larger area to run around, but even still, this cage is too small even though they are not in this during the day.

I have no idea how to go about making another level! :)):)) @)

thank you! :) It has been working quite well, having a larger run in the front room and as I say they go in it after their morning veggies and can be in it upto midnight, so they do get a lot of exercise (it's 116cm x 116cm) :)) it's a collapsible wooden run so it easily taken outside in the afternoons when the sun is shinning.

However still feel mean when they back in the smaller cage, although they popcorn all over the place, maybe that's just the feel of their new clean fleece bedding every night :(|).

I did a search (which I should have done in the first place) mallethead, found pics that someone had make another level of a ferplast 140 think it was? looked fab but how I would go about it I really don't know, my hubby is just as clueless at me 8...

Hi when i got my two they were only in a small plastic cage so i thought that id make them another level. it works quite well in my cage because they now have two cages put together but you might be able to do something similar in your cage but with a long shelf instead of a corner one? hope these help you a little :)
