I'm making a cozie/sleeping bag for the guinea-pigs tommorow (finally got some fleece in sainsburys this afternoon) but I have a question, would I need to wash the fleece before I use it to make it into a cozie. I think I should, but then I think does it need to be that absorbant? I don't really know, help please!

I made some cuddle cups for my piggies just before Christmas and I didn't wash the fleece first.. Partly because I was too impatient to make them :)) and I figured they weren't going to be used as loos and didn't need to be absorbant..

How do you make cozies/cuddle cupz. I went to the pet shop just before christmas and paid £12 for a Karlie one

If you wash them before you start to make the cosies you'll remove any bacteria, dust or chemicals that might have collected on the fabric before you got it. It also means that urine will soak into the fleece when your pigs do their deed instead of pooling on the surface and becoming soaked into their fur.
