Martini has been doing so well, I'm so proud of her. I've only had her a few months now & we're growing so close! Even though I had Chip & Machete for years, I guess we always learn things through time & this time with Martini, I'm trying to do everything I WISH I had done with my others. Chipotle & I were close but in the beginning I don't feel like I spent enough time with her so I'm trying now to focus on doing that for Martini. It's def. paying off!

Lately I've been trying to get her to play more when she's out with me & was concerned about finding safe toys for her. After reading around & testing things, I found out that one of her favorite things is as simple as a blanket. She LOVES running around in it, making tunnels & finding little nesting spots. She's also a fan of the cardboard tube from paper towels filled with hay. What an easy toy.

Here's a picture I snapped of her tonight when she decided to tunnel through the blanket & snuggle down.

Aww you guys are so sweet! She really is a cutie, picture doesn't do her justice! The little swirl of fur that she has down her back is just the best thing ever..I'll have to try & get a pic of it. She's loving the blanket play-time, I think it's def. the key toy for us right now to keep her occupied. The only thing about that is that during this whole potty training time, being in the blanket makes her really comfy & we all know what happens sometimes when a piggie is really comfortable and doesn't want to leave her nest...hmmm? But that's okay!

awwwwwwwwww she's just too snuggly wuggly in her blankie x)x)x)

Perhaps you could put a small hand towel in with her so soak up the 'oooopsies' ")

That's a very good idea, I'll try that next time. The blanket I'm letting her use is one that's just an extra we don't necessarily care too much about, but it would be nice to do that with another towel inside. It's amazing how much it entertains her. My Dad is retired & in need of projects to keep him happy (he was a maintenance guy & LOVES to make things) so he's building her some wooden tunnels to go through like the hidey-house he made her. I'm so lucky!

She's a real cutie, what a snuggly pigture x) x)

So I tested my little girl today to see what she would do with a litter pan unsupervised when outside her pen. I put her i a play pen outside of her normal one with a little cardboard trial litter box & left her to see what she'd do when I wasn't actively following her around & putting her in there when I thought she was going to pittle. When I came back, I found that she had only peed a little outside of the box but done everything else in the box several times. Yay! What a smart little piggie! :))

Here's a pic!
