Making them work for their dinner

Decided they could put some effort into getting tea tonight.


I was mean and pulled the lid down. They ran round it like mad things until they worked out where the smell was coming from.

I do this and close the lid, but I put food in each egg sized hole. I do make holes in the boxes so they have a chance to get at the veggies. I must be such a horrid slave but it does keep them occupied☺

Mine have veggie balls which are like hay balls, and I put their veggies in there. They figured out how to get to veggies by now and always get all the veggies out of the veggie balls. It takes a bit of time and gets them to think, which is what I like.

That is really funky idea for some stimulation - at least your pigs are intelligent enough to work it out. Our girls would still be trying now or would’ve wrote to the guinea pig union complaining
