Parnellpiggies
New Born Pup
Hello everyone,
Wondering if anyone could help please! I’ve got two male piggies, and have had them for almost a year now I got them when they was 8 weeks old so I’ve had them since they were little ones. However I came home to them aggressively fighting the other day they both seem fine no one seems hurt but it was terrifying to watch as they’ve always got on! I feel like I’ve done everything right they’ve always seemed happy together. They have lots of room. They have a connecting outdoor and indoor cage, the indoor is 2.5x3 c&c grids and then a small piggy tunnel to the outdoor one which is 2m x 1m! Which they have access to all day, So I would say very spoilt hahah. They have plenty of enrichment, own bowls each, own bottles each, own beds!
They get all the fresh veggies daily! And everything else to go with it.
I separated them when they were fighting the other day as soon as I noticed so they spent the night without each other, then they came back together in the morning and seemed fine I thought maybe they might have worked it out. I came back home after the second day and there was tension and a lot of purring, heads up, chasing and small amount of fighting so I separated them again as I don’t want one of them to get hurt!
I’ve read lots about splitting the cage so they can see each other but obviously that’s a little bit of work for me to do which I’m happy doing! But before committing to that split cage inside and out, meaning I would have to do another connecting tube so they can both go indoors and outdoors, but before committing I want to make sure I’m doing the right thing as I’m scared if it’s not the right thing then they won’t be happy!
Any help would be appreciated thanks so much!
