My four and a half year old guinea girl Talullah has a huge tumor.
We are going to try to remove it on Thursday. Depending on what my vet finds when he opens her up if he operates to remove or not. If it's unoperable I have given permission to let her go while she's still under.

Has anyone got any advise on post operative care for her? I'm trying to remain postive for her and plan ahead. Currently spoiling her rotten with nice noms and treats x

I hope the op goes well.

I don't really have experience of post op care but someone should be along who does. I think the main thing though is that she is sent home with pain relief that you can give orally after the injections she would have had at the time of the op have worn off. I would also keep her on vet bed or towels and change daily to avoid infection. You may need to syringe feed her too if she is off her food after the op, here is our guide. https://www.theguineapigforum.co.uk/threads/complete-syringe-feeding-guide.115359/
