Manuka Honey healing.

We use it at work on people and it's a great antimicrobial agent. It can help really nasty wounds heal but some people can't tolerate it.

Great in people who've lost large skin areas due to infection etc.

I wouldn't just batter on and use it without having a wound reviewed and taking good vet advice though!
 
My vet uses Medical Manuka Honey on abcesses, does the trick, once it's been drained you flush it out with salt water a couple of times a day and squeeze in the honey. They can get a bit sticky though!
She was going to use it on her horse if she could find a bigger tube!
