Ah must be hard seeing him on there, at least you know he is at a good place and can make lots of new friends and maybe even a wife! :(|)

With regards to neutering, the younger the better, don't quote me on it but I think it is about 6 months+.

He's only 15 weeks, wonder if he will have to stay at Assisi until he is 6months?!

He's a beautiful pig and you must miss him terribly. I hope he finds a new loving home with a beautiful wifey really soon.

Me too, I'm sure he will such a wee personality and Assisi have only 3 piggies, so there isn't too many of them!

He's the cutest by far :))

Most vets in this country won't operate before 6 months, so he will be in for quite a wait, taking into account the long recovery period afterwards.

On the other hand, most cross gender pairings are very stable, if they make it past the first acceptance, so the long wait will be hopefully worth it!

He looks really lovely in that pic, and it is such a shame that he didn't work out with Fred!

It's a good job, they have lovely big runs for them :)! Plus I'll be taking down his Xmas pressies and some other pressies for the piggies! :))

Maybe his future wife will come in to the centre before his op and they can have a lovely extended courtship x) through the bars!

I'm sure he will find the right friend soon and its good that there are only 3 other piggys there too.

I cant see the photo of him on the link?

Go to the Rabbits page, click the link that says "here" and then there'll be a button that says Guinea Pigs. Took me a while to find it too but he is there.

Some vets will neuter pigs from 4 months old. It generally depends on size, the absolute youngest is usually 4 months. 6 is ideal, but any time from 4 is possible.

I'm sure he'll find a friend and home very soon, you did the right thing as he was a bit too much of a dominant pig for dear Fred. Will keep a lookout on the Scottish rescue sites for a spayed sow!

I clicked on the rabbit links and then the "here" link but nothing loads for me.

Joanne, I'm so sorry to hear about Marvin, I know you love him very much. I think you did the right thing though, on Fred's behalf. I hope Marvin can find a happy forever home very soon xxxxx

It was working earlier on today, I had a look as I have been following the story of Joanne, Fred and Marvin :( Maybe the site has gone down as we've all been clicking for another look at the beautiful boy :)

Okay I see him now if I load the page in internet explorer but it doesn't work in firefox.

He does look cute and he can **** be neutered at 16 weeks (I think that's from when my vet will do it). So any day.
