Masive weight gain in a week

Mervyn is now 5 weeks old and his weight has gone from 340grms to 460grms that is an increase of 120grms in a week, the other 3 pigs have put on 60grms each.
Could this be a pointer to any sign of illness, he is having the same food/veg as the others.
Should I be worried about the amount of weight?

Is he showing any other signs of being ill? Our Rex boys grew like they had been stuck in grow bags and their sisters are smaller and put on weight slower when they were young.

Mine have done that in the past. I wouldn't worry babies do put on a lot more than older pigs. Pudsey put on 75g this week, last week he put on 100g. Eccles put on 100g last week but didn't gain this week. Next week you'll see a slow down in the weight, the seem to come in spurts.

Thanks for that, it has put my mind to rest. None of the piggies are showing any sign of illnes.
