I saw a piggy at my ‘local’ animal shelter, they don’t usually get piggy’s in so I jumped at the chance to go and meet him as I’ve been keeping an eye out for a friend for Maude.
So I went to go and meet him today.. and of course he came home with me!
‘Mohawk’ originally came from a hoarder/breeder situation with over 30 Guinea pigs, he then went to the RSPCA were he was desexed and re-homed. The new people tried bonding him with two females but he was too dominant and bossy with them so he came to the shelter were I got him from.
Looking on his RSPCA form he was only de-sexed on the 12/4/22..meaning he probably wasn’t ready to go with the females! Poor family might now have two pregnant sows!
He is roughly 1 year old and a beautiful blonde Colour with short yet long-ish hair and a quiff.
Fingers crossed he will get along with Miss Maude, otherwise he will have to go back as I definitely cannot have 4 cages!
They are side by side for a few days, which he is finding very exciting! Maudes not paying much interest lol.
He won’t sit still long enough for a decent photo!
If he stays I might rename him as ‘Henry’ as that was my grandads name and Maude is named after my Nan.
