I noticed Max was limping last night and I have got a vet's appointment this morning.

I had a look at his foot last night and the pad is swollen and he has what I will describe as hard skin there. No obvious redness or other discolouration. He is protecting that foot when walking so he is obviously in some discomfort but tolerated me touching his foot and he is still eating and drinking OK.

I am not going to add 2 and 2 together - but I am very concerned .

I would be grateful for any advice ...

Vet has ruled out Bumblefoot - which I am extremely relieved about. The vet thinks he has had a soft tissue injury to his leg. The most likely cause was that he hurt his leg when he was getting amorous with Bess (Bess was on heat last week).
I am afraid Girl Power has taken over and , now I know it is a bedroom gymnastics injury - I have no sympathy for him :lol!:

He's on Metcam and I'll see how he does over the weekend.

I'm intending to take him to Cavy Corner next week . ( Winston does his boar hygiene better than me) so I'll ask them to check him over too - just to get a second opinion.
