The current Tribe is made up of the former Big Tribe undersows, Maelog/Mallow, the foster husboar from TEAS sanctuary and the last survivor of my elderlies group, seven year old Ffraid.
Most of the sows are ginger and white crested sows although not by design! The other piggies are between 1-3 years old.

Maelog (pronounced Mylog = battle prince; Sanctuary name Mallow) arrived here as temporary foster with his much beloved wife Rhosyn/Rosa last year; he was signed over to the sanctuary together with a dental companion (who he didn't get on with). After two stints as temps, Maelog and Rhosyn stayed on and took over a vacancy in the Elderlies group. Maelog was grieving quite badly in the wake of losing Rhosyn in an emergency operation in January, but has found new contentment with his ginger wives after the previous "husboar" Bedo fell head over heels for the lady next door and chose to move out...
Maelog likes to organise things from the sofa; he has a very paws-off management style - except when it comes to food!

Hedydd (pronounced Hedith = "Skylark") is the pretty laid back top sow of the new Tribe. She doen't like being handled, but has no problems climbing on me for a treat! I rehomed same age Hedydd as a playmate for baby Tegan.

Heulwen (pronounced Hyle-wen = "Sunshine") is Hedydd's sister or half-sister from the previous litter; their back-to-back pregnant mummy had another 6 lookalike baby girls after her arrival in rescue. She is my singer and gives regular chirping concerts, sounding like bird.

Hafren (pronounced Halve-ren = "Sabrina/Severn") arrived a year later with Nesta; they were the chosen by the rescue because they had been passed over repeatedly. The two were adopted to help make space for a flood of babies after the rescue had a lot of pregnant breeder sows dumped on their drive one Sunday morning.
Hafren is a very laid back lady who bestirs herself for any food, but not much else!

Ffraid/Freya (pronounced Fryde) has happily settled back in with her old friends after she sadly lost all her close friends from the Elderlies group over the course of this year, even though she is the oldest. She is a very gentle, friendly lady that arrived here as an emergency together with her group mate Bethan 2 1/2 years ago and has stayed as a permanent foster for a piggy friend.

Pili Pala (pronounced Peelee Pahlah = "Butterfly") is a very good natured girl; she came here last summer with her tiny cousin Papi. I had to wait over 4 months for Pili Pala to be declared fit for rehoming after she was rescued from as bad a place imaginable, which caused her to repeatedly bite open a persistent mite patch just when it was nearly healed up again. Thankfully she is completely fine now, even if the affected area is not growing back any hair and she is still twitching badly if I come anywhere near her patch.

Papi (pronounced Pahpee = "Poppy"). She is a rescue born close relative of Pili Pala's. Unlike her cousin, she is very timid and nervous by disposition, but she is slowly, slowly relaxing and gaining in confidence a year on. Papi is also a very small girl.

gorgeous! all of them. you look like you have a lot on your hands good for you (:

Utterly scrumptious, every one of them (but especially Papi!)
Its lovely to read their background stories and find out about their individual natures.

Gorgeous, I love ginger pigs, they all look like my late Jessica.

Awwwwwwwwww This thread is sooooo

Hedydd is stunning

Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous! Don't ginger piggies get big?! I lurve their big fat rumps! (That sounds so wrong!)

They come in all sizes! Hedydd and Heulwen are both on the smaller side while Hafren is just a lump of lard, prefering the horizontal lifestyle!
