Ollie, after Oliver Twist, as named by my mum :))

Hes around 8 weeks old, has crackly breathing, a temperature and is slightly underweight. I saw him in his enclosure in a pet store (the same one I got Minnow from) and he was being bullied by hi other cage mates, my heart melted for him and just had to bring him home.

we're planning on getting him back to full health and then finding him a lovely new home ( :( ) I'm smitten with him, but I don;t think its a very good idea seeing as i have two girls!

So I'm guessing hes a Sheltie?
But hes unbelievably silky to the touch and his coat is very shiny, any chance hes a satin?

He's gorgeous ! i bet your going to find it hard giving him away but it's so good of you to try and bring him back to full health !

He is gorgeous! Perhaps you can have him neutered eventually if you have a good vet within your reach?

All the best for getting him better first, though!

I'm secretly falling in love with him every minute, which may make it harder to rehome him :(

Well done for rescuing this poor little baby. You do not have to rehome him. Once he is neutered you could have a happy threesome. :)
 
I really want to keep and neuter him :))

Just worried about cage size, problems that could occur etc. :...

Neutering could be a good option if you have a cavy savvy vet, he'd be very happy with some wifeys! :))
 
He's gorgeous x)x) As others have said neutering is a real option should you want to keep him - in the meantime (and once he's better) you could have him live next door to your girls - it would certainly help with the introductions when you do eventually get him neutered.....

It'll be a few months before he can be neutered anyhow - so plenty of time to re-think the cage situation (are you persuaded yet?)

Oh I really want to keep him, and have been researching cavy savvy vets :))

I'm 100% persuaded ;)

But my mum on the other hand is not, I can tell she is smitten with him too but she only agreed to let me recuse him and restore his health and then rehome him. However, she didn't realise they could be neutered so maybe I should start persuading her myself :))
 
Aww he is gorgeous, I can see why you have fallen in love with him. To be honest I can understand your worries about potential problems. I got my first two female piggies last Jan and then in the April I got Peter who I saw on here and fell in love with. I was getting him neutered as he was always bullied by other boars. I suffer depression and anxiety anyway and my anxiety was doing overtime when he had the op, I felt guilty and worried, I couldn't focus all day at work. Then again at bonding time, I prepared for the worst and actually within two minutes they had all settled and bonded, I was amazed and to be fair it was a bit of an anticlimax from what I was expecting hehe :))

It is stressful because you love them and want it to all work out but when it does it is so worth it all

I have three groups all with one neutered boy and girls, I have found that it works really well for me, especially with one of my girls, Lucy who was previously very timid. She has really come into her own after I adopted Murray in December :)

I'm sure Ollie and the girls would be thrilled with each other, they're all droolsome

I have two girls and a neutered boar tha all live very happily together. I know that owners n here haves said that one gets left out when they have had three but I have never had that issue and I accept someone always has to be bottom pig- shes not left out though. Laila is bottom pig but shes perfectly happy and health with a stable weight :). Three is definatly not a crowd with mine and Harry actualy stabilised the two sisters releationship.
He is very very cute, hope you come to a decision thats best for piggy and you

He has beautiful silky Fur but i dont think he is a Satin, Satins have more of a glowing sheen, But still! it doesn't make him one bit less gorgeous!<3 Beautiful little Chappy! x)

fyi. i coming to steel him!
