Hi All,

We fostered Smudge from a GP sanctuary last month. When we got her she was a very depressed little girl as her cage mates had passed away and the sanctuary tried to pair her up but it didn't work out.

It broke our hearts to see her outside in a cage on her own and within a week she had stolen our hearts so we decided to adopt her. She successfully bonded with our herd and is now a much happier piggy!

Smudge is an elderly piggy (approx 6-7 years old) and totters around the cage due to arthritis in her joints. We recently had to take her to the vets for this after she hurt her foot but she is now on a low-dose painkiller to keep her comfortable. She is getting on great with her new cage-mates in her forever home!

Smudge is a very friendly little girl and really enjoys human interaction. She loves to explore but will also crash out for a cuddle when the mood takes her. :) Her favorite veggies are carrot and curly kale and she loves snuggling in the pigloo when it's filled with hay.

awww, thanks for sharing your story, so heart warming, and I love your pig-tures, gorgeous little girl. Smudge is going to be incredibly happy forever now.

Oh my  she is beautiful, I'm in love :luv:

Well done for giving her a lovely forever home. She is beautiful and I must admit her story has brought a tear to my eye.

We love all piggies but have a real soft spot for the pigs of "later years". Needless to say we couldn't resist taking Smudge under our wing!

Thanks to everyone for your nice replies. Smudge sends happy squeaks to you all. :)
