Meet My Spring!
A four week old boar I brought to accompany my other 4 week old boar called Autumn. Spring Is a purebred-pedigree American Shorthair who’s parents are best in show. (Autumn is just an Abyssinian mixed with an American Shorthair who’s parents were just pets.)

We did the introduction in the bathroom (Neutral Space) with fleece over the tiles, They sniffed eachother, started to groom eachother, & then fell asleep cuddled up together.

They are now in the cage together and every 4 steps Autumn takes, he looks back to make sure spring is following. If he’s not following Autumn will wheel and run back to him. If Spring is following, Autumn will continue to walk. They love to cuddle up together and sniff eachother.

Great news that the boys are getting on so well and Autumn has a friend now.
What happened with the cages in the end?
With 2 boars you need to be sure they have plenty of space as they will grow up quickly!

Aw Spring is gorgeous, it sounds like a lovely bond developing there must be such a relief they get on and enjoying being snuggled up together

I’m glad to hear you got your boy a live-in friend. As above, make sure their cage is big enough, even with free roaming.

As an aside, we don’t like to discuss showing here so the bit about new boar’s parents were a little unnecessary We’d love to see photos of them together!

Lovely to see your new piggy and that they are getting on well. What sort of cage have these 2 got now?
